European professionals gather for the latest on policy, markets and technology at a three-day event in Brussels

Enel X is pleased to be a platinum sponsor for the 5th Energy Storage Global Conference (ESGC) on October 11-13, 2022 in Brussels, organized by the European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE), in collaboration with the European Commission's Joint Research Center. Over 300 top-level European energy professionals and policymakers will gather to discuss policy, the latest developments in energy storage markets and technologies. Through these three discussion areas, ESGC 2022 will demonstrate how energy storage can help avoid dependency on fossil fuels and help balance the electricity system.

Agenda and topics

David Post, Enel X Head of Sales and Marketing - Distributed Energy Solutions and EASE President, will give one of the opening speeches that kicks off the event on October 11. After the speech, he joins the panel “Political Support for Energy Storage Uptake” discussing what political backing is needed for regulation regarding the deployment of energy storage technologies. On Day 2, October 12, Enel X Head of Global Business Development Demand Response Solutions Cem Basar will discuss how to make distributed flexibility a reality in a panel called “How to Make Local Energy Markets Work Efficiently.” On the same day, Michele Pissarello, Enel X Head of Sales - Distributed Energy Solutions, takes part in the panel “New Contractual Strategies for C&I” on the best strategies to support commercial and industrial players to minimize emissions through energy storage.

October 13 at 11:15 will see Andrea Cassarino, Enel X Head of Technical Competence Center - Engineering and Assets Management, hold a webinar from Enel X’s virtual booth focusing on Enel X’s technology and integration with DER.OS. (Distributed Energy Resources Optimization Software).
