Enel X journey to certifications
Enel X believes that integrity, transparency, and compliance are essential to running a sustainable energy business. Accordingly, the company has aligned itself with the highest international standards. Enel X equipped itself with a management system — policies, procedures and guidelines — to steer, align and coordinate its branches around the world in providing our clients with clean, efficient products and services.
Enel X began working towards its ISO certifications in 2017. The management system, comprising policies, procedures and instructions, was created around the role of the Global organization which aims to steer, align and coordinate Enel X companies around the world in the supply of products and services connected to energy and energy efficiency. Global Enel X organization provides support and guidance to help local organization achieve the highest levels of performance in terms of quality, safety and respect for the environment, as is to be expected from a business like Enel X, which is a leader in the global energy transition.
Enel X Countries adopt local management systems based on the guidelines issued by the Global organization, that are certified for the most relevant ISO standards, as reported in the local Enel X Country websites.
By July 2019, the company had proudly earned the following: ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety management), followed by the ISO 37001 (anti-bribery management) at the beginning of 2020. In November 2021, the company has also achieved the ISO 27001 certification (information security management). In December 2021, the company has extended the scope of applicability of the ISO 9001 certification including the development of innovative application services.
During the 2022, the core certifications on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 have been renewed (after the first 3 years cycle) and in 2023 the ISO 37001 certification was renewed. Also in 2023, the process of inclusion within the scope of certifications of the governance and coordination of the activities carried out by the market, began: we started with the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, continuing the process during 2024 and 2025 with the other certifications.
