UITP India organized the 6th edition of a seminar dedicated to the theme of ‘Demystifying Electric Buses for India’ which will take place at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, on 15th July. The Indian government is committed to decarbonizing public transport in the country by 2030 and the use of electric buses is considered an important step to reach the goal of zero emission public mobility. To enable this change the Indian Government has put in place different schemes such as Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric vehicles (FAME-I and FAME-II) which are aimed at easing the shift in favor of electric vehicles.
The seminar will host speakers, stakeholders and participants such as private bus operators, financing institutions, ministries handling the Electric Bus Landscape of India, state transport undertakings and other players from the sector. It is within this context that Enel X supports the initiative by participating as Gold Partner, contributing as well with a speech sharing its professional experience in the sector of public transport mobility at all stages: from planning to building, operating and maintenance of the required infrastructure.
