What are the main features of MotoE motorcycles and races?

MotoE motorcycle racing is a single-make championship that showcases the Ego Corsa, a state-of-the-art, 100% electric motorbike developed and manufactured by Italy's Energica Motor Company. This high performance, zero emissions racer has a permanent magnet AC, oil cooled engine and can reach speeds of 270 km/h. The championship, officially known as the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup, had its inaugural season in 2019. It takes place on iconic race tracks around the world, including the Circuito de Jerez in Spain, Le Mans in France, and Energica’s home track, the Misano World Circuit.

How long does it take to charge an electric racing motorcycle?

The Ducati V21L “fill up” by 80% in about 20 minutes in DC fast charge mode. The latest Wayroll EVO Race Edition smart charger can fill up an electric motorbike in about 40 minutes.

What does the future hold for MotoE?

For Enel X Way, MotoE racing is a testing ground for innovative and sustainable smart charging technologies with track to street potential, so that more and more people, businesses and cities can integrate e-mobility based on renewables into their way of life. As such, it is a key part of the Enel X Way commitment to eMotorsports. Because sustainable mobility is electric.

What is the Enel X partnership with MotoE?

Enel X Way is the Official Smart Charging Partner of the MotoE World Cup. We provide e-racers with our highly innovative Wayroll Race Edition charger, which we developed and customized specifically for this championship. It comes with both a mobile and a semi-mobile unit with an embedded storage system, so it can top up the e-bikes in the pit lane and at the starting grid. It can also draw additional power thanks to 60 solar panels mounted in the charging area.
